About us

Common Prefix is a blockchain research & development company. Blockchain technologies enable large-scale economic coordination through shared, programmable ledgers. Our mission is to solve the foundational scientific and engineering challenges that stand in the way of mainstream adoption, particularly in interoperability, scalability, and usability.

We combine formal scientific research with production-grade engineering. We have contributed to advanced systems including Axelar, XRPL, Sui, and Flashbots, and are trusted partners to protocols building critical infrastructure.

Description

This is a full-time position for a Product Designer. You will be the first dedicated designer on our team and the primary design voice at Common Prefix, shaping how our work looks and feels, from the interfaces researchers and developers interact with, to the visual identity we present to the world.

We're a deeply technical company, and our approach to design reflects that. We care about precision, clarity, and craft more than chasing trends. Details matter to us. We work closely across disciplines, and we believe rigorous science and rigorous design sharpen each other.

This role is driven by real and immediate need: we have a pipeline of new products and user flows in active development, and we need a designer who can move fast, think in systems, and translate complex technical functionality into intuitive user experiences for highly technical audiences.

You will own the UI/UX of these products end-to-end (interfaces, user flows, interaction patterns), working closely with our science, engineering, and operations teams, from early concept and user flow definition through to polished, implementation-ready designs.
